AI for Instructional Design: Integrating Tutorial Support for the learners into the design of a Training Program

Tutorial engineering involves defining, designing, delivering, and evaluating support services for learners in distance education and digital learning. This master class will provide insights into the following question: How can generative AI support each stage of tutorial engineering—including analyzing support needs, defining tutor profiles, designing the tutoring system, scripting interventions, drafting the tutoring charter, training tutors, and evaluating tutoring—without dehumanizing the tutor-learner relationship, which remains, above all, a matter of empathy and presence? A presentation of AI tools that do not replace tutors but rather enable them to expand their scope of action will round out this masterclass.
