Inclusive Design for Neurodiversity: Considerations for Attention Accessibility

This workshop will provide a practical guide for creating learning experiences that are accessible for neurodivergent and neurodiverse learners who live with attention differences, such as hyperactivity and inattentiveness. Using the Universal Instructional Design framework, we will discuss multimodal design considerations aimed to minimize overstimulation while supporting engagement, including: interactivity, pacing, and structure. At the end of this workshop, attendees will walk away with a toolkit of easy to implement strategies for attention inclusivity.
